Smart Provisioning enhances day-to-day identity management operations when CA Identity Manager integrates with CA RCM. When Smart Provisioning is enabled in an environment, certain tasks gain the following functionality:
When CA Identity Manager administrators create a user, or modify a user, provisioning role, account, or account template, a request for a list of suggested roles or a request to validate changes for compliance violations is sent to CA RCM. The CA RCM Server evaluates the request against the existing role model or business policy rules (BPRs), and returns a list of suggested roles or any compliance violations to CA Identity Manager.
Important! You can implement Smart Provisioning in an Identity Manager Environment once you clean up the data in your CA RCM universe and define the Business Policy Rules (BPRs) that you want to use for compliance.
